What People Are Saying

When you came to help me, my life was in a great deal of stress due to the medical condition of my husband. In general, it felt like life was out of control.

By having you come to my house to help me organize my closets, it helped me feel like I had regained some control. You came in with your friendly smile and just got to work. We did the work together, and then you took my stuff away to give to charity. No room for second thoughts, which was fabulous!

What Business People Are Saying

Thanks for all that you did in helping me recover important items and documents from my flood in the spring. I really appreciate how you arrived on time and got right to it. I was so overwhelmed and frustrated with the mess and felt a sigh of relief once we got started. I would be thrilled to refer people to you. Thanks again!

We can always find
or make yet another excuse
for putting things off once again.

And most likely every time you look at that drawer or space that is cluttered it bugs you.

Next time you have one of those nagging thoughts, schedule 1/2 hour or even just 15 minutes in your calendar to get started and follow these 3 simple suggestions:

  1. Keep it simple. Pick a drawer, bookcase, shelf or box to purge.

  2. Get your tools together.
    - Clear bag or Box
    - Wastebasket or garbage bag
    - Recycling Bin
    - Shredder

  3. Recycle or Toss
    - Throw out all items that are garbage.
    - If its not garbage, make a donation to a local charity or have a garage sale.

Tip # 1: pack a box or clear bag and place it in the trunk or better yet place it on the back seat of your car where it’s visible. When you are driving by a local charity this next week drop it off.

    Tip #2
    - In some neighbourhoods, large items that are in good shape like desks and furniture are placed at the end of the driveway and get recycled to new homes within a few days.

 - Use recycling bins for all paper items without any
 identifying information

 - Create a shredding pile for those documents with
identifying information about you or your business.
You probably don’t have time to do this now but
could involve the kids by delegating it as a chore or
 schedule it for another time.

You get the idea. Spend 15 – 30 minutes clearing out a vanity, a panty or closet of the things that are clutter or you are no longer using. Take a few before photos and reflect at the end and take note of how it makes you feel when it’s done!
