What People Are Saying

When you came to help me, my life was in a great deal of stress due to the medical condition of my husband. In general, it felt like life was out of control.

By having you come to my house to help me organize my closets, it helped me feel like I had regained some control. You came in with your friendly smile and just got to work. We did the work together, and then you took my stuff away to give to charity. No room for second thoughts, which was fabulous!

Creating an Outdoor Oasis

It's becoming fashionable to add indoor type decor like cushions and area rugs to the back yard patio.

The good news...

You don’t have to go and buy all new things to dress up your outdoor space.

Here are a few ideas to create an “outdoor living space.”

My front lawn is a dessert. It’s tough to get things to grow that don’t require lots of water and attention. I place my cactuses amongst my garden shrubs. If they are in plastic pots you can buy ceramic ones slightly bigger and heavier and just drop them in without repotting. This makes for ease of return to the house in the fall.

You can do the same with any tropical plants. I have one that is a little large for the house but I don’t have the heart to get rid of it. I keep it trimmed in the winter to fit in the space and come the warm weather out it goes. Every year it’s in a different spot as we develop our gardens a little more.

I find that it helps bring life back to these plants that truly thrive in the heat. They stay outdoors for approximately 5 months each year. You can also add your indoor hanging plants or pots any where you choose.

You can add tea light candle holders, indoor/outdoor wall panels, baskets and so on, without it being a great deal of work or expense. A deck storage box is a good investment where you can easily place these items, and provides additional storage in the winter.

Moving a few plants and indoor pieces outdoors can freshen up your indoor space at the same time. If the rooms feel bare I’m sure that with a little searching through the things you have tucked away that you can find something to fill those spots.

Still need some help. Margaret has the solutions and the expertise to make all your spaces work for you and get in on the savings before the HST arrives.
